MOTOWN: CELEBRATING THE MUSIC, THE MAGIC, THE LOVE

Oct 01

7:00 PM
Prepare yourself for an inspiring, moving, and foot-tapping good time, enjoying 60s, 70s & 80s music with candid conversations! Come and experience the powerful behind-the-scenes stories of early Motown Records, founded by Berry Gordy, Jr., as told by artists, producers, writers, and executives who were a part of his history-making dream.

This uniquely engaging evening features musical performances by former Motown sensations Thelma Houston, Brenda Holloway, and surprise guests. Highlights include moving stories from industry icons including Smokey Robinson, The Temptations' Otis Williams, the Four Tops' Duke Fakir, Miracles’ Claudette Robinson and hit songwriter Brian Holland on the early years at Hitsville U.S.A., the building where hits were made!

“Motown is a musical organization that will be known by children whose mothers haven't even been born yet.” - Smokey Robinson
