The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts invites pre-K-12 schools within Los Angeles County to apply to our School Partners Program. Our goal is to provide multiple opportunities for students, teachers, and families to learn in and through the arts.
Wallis Focus Schools
Based on applications, up to ten schools will be selected. Each will receive:
Approximately 300 tickets to Student Matinee Performances, with a menu of shows to choose from. Separate performances have been designated for elementary schools and for secondary schools.
Workshops at The Wallis to help teachers prepare for each show and develop relevant curriculum connections.
50 tickets for students and parents to attend a weekend performance together.
Bus transportation to and from The Wallis for each event.
Teaching artists to visit your school to support school-identified priorities. Projects may focus on student learning, teacher development and/or family involvement.
Careers-in-the-Arts events for students at your school and at The Wallis.
Minimum required financial match from selected schools: $5,000. Actual amount may vary should a school request additional support.
Wallis Partner Schools
The Wallis invites prek-12 classes to attend our Student Matinee Performances
and experience the very best in the performing arts. Participating teachers are expected to attend a workshop at The Wallis to learn ways to extend the arts experiences in the show to their classroom practice. Because space is limited, schools need to apply for consideration. The financial match required from each school or district will be approximately $250 per bus (if provided by The Wallis) and $7 per ticket for each student, teacher, and adult chaperone. The actual prices may vary depending on the size of your group.
